What is the Stripes collection?
It’s a collection of highly graphic canvases that exploit minimal lines to create an instantly recognizable effect and, at times, optical illusions.

The collection is mostly composed of “portraits”: artists and icons interpreted by Melkio’s strokes and colored with primary colors.
The lines are rigorously hand-drawn to create an overall effect of uniformity while maintaining the imprecision of the “human” stroke.
The stripes collection has sub-collections:
Mini Stripes:
The mini stripes are some of the main subjects developed in a 30×40 format and with fewer details than the main works.
They are in open series and handmade, thus complementing the Mini Vision segment.

Stripes Optical:
In other subjects Melkio plays with optical effects to create movement and depth with a full/empty interplay.
