Loop: Melkio’s Videogame experience

A playable digital experience based on Isaac Asimov’s short story “The Last Question” and featuring new Melkio characters from the Voyager collection

An interactive digital installation from 2026, created to present the new characters and the unreleased Voyager collection.
Inspired by Isaac Asimov’s literary universe, a source of constant wonder, and a profound homage to his masterpiece “The Last Question.” The futures he imagined, once considered pure fiction, now appear not so distant, especially in the concepts of robotics and artificial intelligence.

In this spirit, the game code was developed with the support of Gemini.
This synergy was possible only thanks to past experience and a deep understanding of programming logic.
Like any technology, AI is an extraordinary tool only in the hands of those with a clear vision and a precise understanding of how to direct it. Far from the contemporary illusion that “just ask and the machine will do everything,” it has proven to be a powerful ally in the service of creativity, translating a profoundly and stubbornly human idea into practice.

Cloud9 and Orion

Cloud9’s odyssey through the Loop isn’t a straight line, but a controlled descent into the singularity.
The project is divided into two large dimensions that challenge the player’s perception and skill.

Part 1: The Space-Time Distortion
“Where physics surrenders to the absurd.”

The journey culminates (and begins) in the heart of a Black Hole. Here, reality ceases to follow Euclidean rules. The distortion is not only visual, but becomes sonic.
The Aesthetics of the Void: Cybernetic geometries and fragments of data orbit around Multivac’s Hyper-Eye, creating an infinite tunnel towards the origin of everything.

Audio Warp: Sound is affected by time dilation. As Cloud9 approaches the center of the singularity, the audio frequency distorts, accelerates, and contracts, following the curvature of space-time. It is the sound of entropy rewinding: a tense crescendo that prepares the player for final rebirth.

Part 2: The Architecture of the Loop
“Action, Logic, and Arcade Memory.”

To fuel Multivac’s final calculation, Cloud9 must overcome the three great tests of human consciousness, expressed in classic gaming languages:
Shooter (The Instinct): At the heart of the system (Level 4), the game becomes pure adrenaline. A shooter challenge against the guardians of the Core. Here, reaction speed is the only defense against data collapse. It’s the battle to protect one’s own vital spark.

Platform (The Rhythm): A test of precision and coordination between platforms suspended in cosmic nothingness (Levels 1 & 2). The jumps become increasingly tight, requiring the player to find a perfect rhythm. It’s the representation of the constant motion that prevents matter from stopping and dying.

Enigma (The Consciousness): Not everything can be solved by force. Through logic puzzles and observation challenges (Level 3 – Orion), Cloud9 must decipher Multivac’s secret language. It is here that human unpredictability unlocks the equations that pure AI cannot complete.

Cloud9 is the avatar of our ability to dream even when the stars go out.

Each level passed is a bit of creative information that fuels the answer to the oldest question: Let there be light.
